Supertubos is one of the heaviest beach breaks in Europe, and in October 2026 the World Surf League brought the best surfers in the world to it. This time I wasn’t there to work the event. I was in the crowd on the sand, watching with my camera. The series follows the days around the contest: heats seen from the beach, the people who come to watch, the morning sessions at Baleal and the light over the cliffs of the peninsula. It shows professional surfing from where the spectators stand, and a town on Portugal’s Silver Coast that lives for the waves for a few days.
